Infor EAM software is constantly updating and evolving, so it’s important to stay up to date and continue growing your skills.

 

In the past, when you’ve needed to brush up on your knowledge or train a new team of users, you had an instructor lead a class with training documentation and cheat sheets. This is a pretty standard format, and for the most part, it works. But it doesn’t work for everyone. The problem with this type of learning is that it can frustrate users and cause them to withdraw. Instead of asking questions and risking slowing the class down, or worse, “feeling stupid,” users retreat and don’t say a word. In their mind, they plan to work through the training guide later and figure it out on their own.

We all know how this story ends. There is never enough time to go back and read the documentation. It’s hard to make sense of what is written and what is on the screens. Even if you do make time, it’s overwhelming. What ends up happening is either the user avoids doing it, or they fake their way through it and do it incorrectly. When the task is done incorrectly, not only are you left to clean up the mess, you also have to provide more training to fix the errors.

Training videos are quick and to the point and you can rewind, rewatch, and learn at your pace. The 5-10 minute videos cover topics such as Work Orders, Parts, and Meters.
