GIS Map Work Order Dispatching

In this webinar, we dived into all things Work Order Dispatching! This functionality allows you to dispatch work to employees and crews that are located closest, geographically, to the work so that the work can be started and completed as soon as possible. Using an Esri map, dispatchers can view the location of work in relation to employees or crews in the field, prior to dispatching. Work order activities that are dispatched will be downloaded to the user’s mobile device, via the Mobile Transit app. This is base functionality and uses the GIS maps that are already configured within EAM, if you are using the GIS module, so there are no additional GIS resources needed. We discussed how dispatching a work order activity means the work is intended to start ASAP, but work order activities can be dispatched for a future date.

Exploring Mechanic's Workbench

​Mechanic’s Workbench is an often underutilized feature of Infor EAM and in this webinar we discuss the features of this incredibly useful screen in the Work Order module. When you harness the power of Mechanic’s Workbench, you are able to view all work order activities and jobs that have been assigned to the mechanic for selected shift sessions for a particular day on the Shift Scheduling Form. You can use this form to start and stop work order activities and/or jobs, update their status to completed, or view equipment and work order details.
