If You Had $86,400

I recently stumbled across a post on social media that went something like this:

Imagine if you had $86,400 in your account and someone stole $10 from you. Would you be upset and throw away the remaining $86,390 in hopes of getting back at the person who took your $10? Or would you just move on and live? We all have 86,400 seconds each day. Don’t let someone’s negative 10 seconds ruin your remaining 86,390.

What an interesting perspective.

I know I can get frustrated at a person or situation and then that interaction colors the remainder of my day. It’s something we are all guilty of doing.

But what is the point of that? What do we gain by brooding and fostering those feelings? In reality, all we get is more time and energy wasted towards a situation that has already passed.

I don’t want to waste $86,400 dollars or the 86,400 seconds I get each day, and I’m sure you don’t either.
