“No Guts, No Glory”

Let’s break this saying down.

Guts is a noun meaning courage. Glory is a noun meaning taking great pride or admiration in your success.

So, put these two words together and the saying means if you do not have the courage to take a risk, you will not be able to achieve success.

To me, this shows that as individuals we must be both brave and honest. We must stand up for the things we believe in. Success will not happen without the courage to take risks.

I find as individuals get older, the “risky” side of life tends to melt away into the safe and secure world.

EAM implementations are no different. Infor EAM has been around since the 1990’s. So, it is considered a mature application. Many organizations have had their EAM system for a number of years. But the software is still being constantly updated with new processes and features.

When configuring and implementing the software, it is easy to navigate to the safe and secure paths. But I challenge you to ask questions, listen, and explore new alternative EAM avenues. Be fearless.

I will leave you with this quote:

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Sarah Francis Brown
