Success is Not Owned

I saw a quote on Instagram that said: Success is never owned, it is rented, and the rent is due every day.

Wow. Reread that and let it sink in.

Today you are successful, but how do you plan to continue your success? What are you going to do tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after that to make sure that success is on-going?

Think about it in terms of an EAM lifecycle…

Success #1 – We picked Infor EAM software

Success #2 – We have decided on an implementation partner and plan

Success #3 – We have started the implementation

Success #4 – We are now live with EAM

Success #4 is where many organizations stop. But why aren’t you looking for your next success?

EAM is an enterprise software. Without a continuous investment into your on-going success, it just ends. Your success can stop. Users get frustrated and upper management struggles to see the value in the product. That is why it is imperative to keep investing in your success.

Continue to invest in training, at events like Connect, or monthly webinars, or weekly Office Hours sessions. Invest in ongoing support with programs like Post Implementation (PI) to make sure your questions are answered and you’re getting the most out of your system.

This quote also applies in our general day-to-day lives as well. We must always be striving for the next success. We can’t stop growing, learning, and moving forward.

So, ask yourself – what are you doing to gain tomorrow’s success?

Until next time…we are Advoco, make every minute count.

About Michelle: It’s hard to find someone that doesn’t like Michelle – she’s easy to talk to, she’s a wealth of knowledge about EAM, she’s relatable, and to top it all off, she’s fun to be around! Her Infor EAM life started at a university that used the product to manage facilities. She has since built up and manages our Post Implementation Consulting team. When Michelle isn’t helping our customers, you can find her in her garden preparing vegetables for canning or touring the Upstate on her motorcycle! Have a question for Michelle?
