You Don’t Need to Be Chick-Fil-A Sauce

I recently came across a blog post titled I Can’t Be Everyone’s Chick-fil-A Sauce. For those of you not from the South, or for those of you who have never gotten to enjoy the greatness of Chick-fil-A, I’m sorry that you have been missing out! Chick-fil-A is a fast food chain that has a cult like following, and I am proud to be a member of that cult.
One of the best things about Chick-fil-A, in my opinion, is their signature Chick-fil-A sauce. It is sweet, tangy and delicious on just about everything. The author of the blog above agrees with me on this while also making an interesting point; which is while I love this sauce, not everyone agrees with me. Some people love the Polynesian sauce they offer, while others prefer traditional ketchup or ranch.
Not everyone is alike. We all have different favorite sauces as well as different needs and wants in life. As she points out, we can’t be everyone’s favorite person and that’s ok. As she explains:
For some people, you are going to be too salty, and for others, you are going to be too sweet. For some, you will be too bold, and for others, you won’t have enough flavor. You will be too much and not enough for some people’s taste buds to handle and that is OK.
It’s ok to be different – we were made that way! We all have special talents and passions, and that’s what makes being part of a team so great: you get to utilize your talents to support someone else, and vice versa.
Next time you feel like you’re trying to be something you know you are not so that you can fit in, remember that you don’t have to be everyone’s Chick-fil-A sauce. Like a great meal, successful teams need lots of different flavors.
Until next time…we are Advoco, make every minute count.
